About the Artist

Hello, I am Margaret Kiprenko. My creative process is led by an internal pull toward subjects that resonate with me through their beauty, meaning, or feeling. I do not strictly adhere to a single style, medium, or category; instead, I allow the subject itself to set the tone for the work. Whether I am rendering a detailed portrait in acrylics, a quiet still life, an expressive landscape, or a boldly abstracted sky, my intent is to translate that original feeling as sincerely as possible.

The Human Connection

While generative AI undoubtedly offers new and interesting ways to produce images, I strive to communicate through the direct, hands-on process of creating. I choose to show the physical reality of my work—the marks of the brush, the texture of the canvas, and pencil strokes—to foster and preserve the connection between the maker and the viewer. Every piece is a result of loving effort, from the initial planning of design and color balance to the final signature.

Purpose and Perspective

I am Canadian of Polish heritage who has called this country home since my early teens. While my background includes training as a nurse and a graphic designer, these roles have been only two different expressions of who I am: someone driven by empathy and love for humanity, nature, and beauty. I aim to create art that reflects the full range of positive human experience - from stillness and healing, to resilience and strength, to the simple pleasure of a well-observed world - and my goal, always, is for the viewer to feel a positive, human connection to the creation.
